FAQ

  • When was Ballistic Engineering started?
After a long career in engineering and military product development Ballistic Engineering was founded in 2023.
  • Where is Ballistic Engineering located?
Ballistic Engineering operates out of Phoenix Arizona
  • What is Ballistic Engineering`s mission statement?
Deliver better performing products at better price backed up with better service.
  • Why are we making triggers?
After having worked within the firearms industry and more specifically the trigger industry for many years we saw a want and a need from the community for innovation. Too many companies doing the same thing in a very small industry space. We don`t just repackage old concepts, our triggers are designed from the ground up aimed to drastically improve the reliability and performance of aftermarket triggers.
  • What kind of quality can I expect?
Our triggers are built with the highest grade materials. All our internals are made from A2+S7 tool steel, 6061-T6 housings and 17-4ph bushings. We don`t use any low carbon steels in our products. When it comes to fit-and-finish we have a zero-tolerance policy for imperfections. If parts show any imperfections from machining, handling, coating, assembling etc. the parts are isolated and scrapped.
  • Aren`t cassette triggers unreliable?
Cassette triggers are not inherently more unreliable. The mechanics of a cassette trigger are not much different than from a MIL-SPEC trigger with the difference that a cassette trigger is self contained and machined to much stricter tolerance. That stricter tolerance can be a cause for concern when the proper engineering due diligence has not been done during the design process. Our triggers are all designed wit failure proofing in mind to prevent any hard stops regardless of the scenario, environment or condition of your rifle.
  • What kind of performance can I expect?
After analyzing dozens of aftermarket triggers on our Dvorak TS-11 TriggerScan we noticed that most triggers showed very similar values when it comes to break, overtravel and reset. That is why most triggers feel near identical and would be impossible to distinguish from one another in a blind test. Our CORE trigger showed a break and reset that was 170% shorter when compared to similar triggers. You will notice that our triggers feel significantly crisper and faster than anything you`re used to. One of our customers described the Accurized AR trigger as "It feels like I`m shooting a fine tuned bolt action trigger in an AR-15"
